In 2007, Boston Magazine ranked Footbridge Beach the #1 beach in New England. This beautiful beach is only a short walk from your room at the Gazebo Inn Ogunquit. You access the Footbridge Beach by crossing the aptly named pedestrian bridge that spans the Ogunquit River. This tidal river is a favorite kayaking, fishing, and swimming in warmer waters. The sand dunes provide an excellent wind break for the occasionally windy day, enabling you to enjoy fun in the sun or to catch a beautiful sunset. The beach itself provides you with an opportunity to mingle with other visitors or to find your own "private" section of the beach for a quiet respite enjoying the warm sand and the sound of the waves.
