During the remodel of our 1847 barn an unprecedented amount of common space was added for a 14 room inn. Included in this space, on the top floor of the barn is a stunning loft area. The room is large, quiet and all cathedral. On the ceiling we selected the nicest beams from the barn and placed them as a show piece in this room. In addition, the hayloft flooring was placed on the walls in its natural state. In this room you will find handcrafted tables from the original barn wood, a desk and chairs if one needs a conference area, and comfortable leather chairs to recline and read a book while you sip on a drink. The room also has a large sectional that you can stretch out on, visit with friends, play some of the games, or borrow a book that the room has to offer.  A surprise for many when they enter the loft is that in the distance you get a glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean, even better in the winter when the leaves fall.

This room is open from 10AM - 9PM for the comfort of all our guests.

A common question is who was your designer and decorator. All of the inn has been designed and decorated by Scott, Peter and Bruce, with no outside influence, and if you have any questions we are happy to tell you about our massive renovation.

Note: this floor is not elevator accessible, because it is a historic building the roof line could not be changed thus the elevator starts at basement level where you will find guest laundry facilities, ice, and an iron & board. The first floor is the Great Room, office, gym, and massage. The 3rd floor contains Barn Suites 1-4.
